LISTEN: New Music Joshua Rogers- “So Good”

joshuarogersUmm, so yea this sat in my inbox for a minute. I am just now listening to it…and wow! I’m really surprised by the tune! I think I may like it, LOL!! Okay so it’s no secret that I wasn’t feeling the BET Sunday Best Season 5 Winner, but this is so different from what we’ve come to know about Joshua.  Now I can rock with this and it gets me excited about the upcoming album, “Unconditional”.  Great first single Joshua!! Check out the tune below and leave a comment about what you think!

808’s, MPC’s, and head knocking vibes emanate from Joshua Rogers’ brand new single, So Good. In many ways, the single is the first look into Rogers artistry as it is the first original piece that the singer has released since winning BET’s Sunday Best competition last year. Rogers, who already has a #1 album under his belt (Well Done), is flexing his versatility on his new single and giving fans what they’ve been asking for – brand new music.

So Good is a lighthearted anthem reflecting on how God’s love makes him feel. Rogers’ signature vocal range and ability is captured in this modern track showcasing his effervescent approach to his music. Rogers made history as the youngest winner and the first male to win Sunday Best. The singer has gone on to carve out a niche for himself as an artist to stay. He is currently working on the release of his debut full-length album,Unconditional through his label home, Music World Gospel. Rogers has written a few songs on the new project, which is set to hit stores everywhere October 29, 2013.  So Good is hitting radio now and will be available on iTunes for purchase on Tuesday, September 3rd.

Half Mile Home Preps New Album “Church Muzik & Inspiration”

Half Mile Home is scheduled to release a new album, Church Muzik & Inspiration, on November 6. The 14-track CD offers a wide range of music from traditional to contemporary gospel with an urban twist.

The three members of the musically self-contained group—Half Mile Home consists of Terence “Buttons” Burton (lead vocalist, drummer and songwriter), Todd “Ty Traxx” Burton (pianist, songwriter and producer), and Darryl “Deaken” Brownlee (lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter) from Akron, Ohio., before embarking on a career in R&B music in the 1990s.  In 2004, they returned to their gospel roots, but brought some of their R&B and hip-hop vibe with them, resulting in a unique and engaging musical style with a message of hope and encouragement. That inspirational musical blend is on full display on the Church Muzik & Inspiration CD.
